Multiplier method

Increase by \(15\%\) → multiply by \(1.15\)  ·  Decrease by \(20\%\) → multiply by \(0.80\)

The multiplier for an increase of \(p\%\) is \(1+\frac{p}{100}\). For a decrease it is \(1-\frac{p}{100}\).
